While there was extra content in the Saturn port of the original Daytona there wasn't a lot of it and it mostly amounted to mirror modes and slightly tweaked game play mechanics. The crashes seem more frequent in the Japanese version but I'm not complaining. The conversion had a somewhat slow around 20fps, compared to the arcade version's 60fps , and featured a reduced draw distance. This track was in fact so popular with players, it actually appeared in Outrun 2, complete with awesome cycling soundtrack. Combined with the existing three tracks, the game has plenty of mileage. I have one and use it all the time for my driving games most of all the Crazy Taxi games , and I do feel it adds to the experience. And it was all playing out exactly as it did the last time. The new courses maintain that tradition with the inclusion of equally conspicuous eye-candy. The lights inside the Dinosaur Canyon tunnel turn on too.
