My cf 51 won't recognize an Intel 5100 card. I was wondering whether you used a Panasonic 5100 rather than a generic or a branded one. Removed the battery as you suggested. I've been using it for about a week and it works great. I am pretty sure Panasonic will send you one free for such a new laptop.
